The Mullen family of Hawaii used a really ez pool to overcome the hard solid lava rock ground in Hawaiian backyard to make their island dreams of an in-ground lap pool possible.
Most of the islands of Hawaii are made of solid, hardened, dry lava rock. A very tough and formidable surface to work with. Over the years, of course, time has brought in dirt and sediment that have made island life liveable. But if you start to dig down in some areas, you quickly run into this hardened rock layer. And costs to go deeper increase by ten times as much for each half foot of digging. When the Mullen family discovered this, their dreams of having an in-ground lap pool were "dashed against the rocks."
As is the case these days, the Mullen family took to the internet to "Google" the problem. They typed in portable pools and happened across our website and saw what some customers had done with our portable pools. They realized that they did not need to go too deep to make the dream a possibility. Through some conversations and emails back and forth, the Mullen's had a plan - and it included an 7' x 37' portable pool from really ez pools to make it happen.
"Really when you think about the whole scope of the project," says Anne Mullen. "The portable pool from really ez pools was actually the easiest part. Percentage wise? It took less than 5% of our time to set up the pool and make our dream a reality." And, as you can clearly see in the pictures, they truly turned their back yard into a beautiful island paradise - pool and all.
